Fat Princess got off to a shaky start when it was released.
Even though it received high marks during its beta phase, the final build was riddled with game crippling bugs including severe online lag and balance issues. These problems were fixed in a timely manner and the world of Fat Princess was back to its colorful, calorie-filled self.
Shortly after the games release Titan Studios began teasing a new map appropriately called “New Pork” which features a more urban environment. We now know this level will be included in a free patch that will be released on October 29, 2009.
According the the PlayStation Blog, “New Pork” will accompany a decent number of balance fixes and other gameplay tweaks. Some changes include the Dark Priests drain attack being reduced, increased Warrior movement speed and the option to attack with the R1 button to name just a few. There are a whole lot more minor changes to the overall game that will be noticed by some and ignored by others.
‘New Pork” is one of the larger maps in Fat Princess. New obstructions including barricades have to be destroyed by working together to open new pathways. There are also more elevated places for archers to set up choke points.
Titan has yet to announce when the new pirate and ninja classes will be available.
