Microsoft came out with a slew of announcements at their E3 Keynote, but they saved the best for last: Full retail games will be available to download August 2009.
That’s right kiddies, the next step into a disc-less future is approaching as full Xbox 360 games will make their way into Microsoft’s pipeline. The best part of this announcement: No stupid point system to deal with. It’s all in real dollars and cents. Don’t worry though, the Microsoft Points aren’t being phased out, though it would be nice to have one currency system.
Couple this news with the announcement of on-demand movies and the Xbox 360 is making a power play to invade our home entertainment. Now let’s hope that the internet providers can follow suit.
