Sleek Audio has announced their newest addition to their already stunning line of earphones, the SA1. Sleek is known for their amazing (and quite expensive) earphones, but today they’re trying to satisfy the need for great audio without depleting the savings account with the SA1. It has VQ tuning and a rosewood body, it’s wireless ready and, wait for it, only $79.99.
You might recall my review of the Sleek Audio SA6s. I loved them, but the one shining problem I had was the price point. Audiophiles tend to have deep pockets, but many users would like something in the middle between insanely awesome and mediocre earphones. That’s where the SA1 comes in. It has most of the amazing features of the SA6s, just a whole lot less of the price.
The SA1s are tunable with the VQ tuning system, meaning you can affect the treble response by choosing which cap to screw into the SA1’s driver. The body of the earphones is made of rosewood, which gives it a look all it’s own. And finally, it has my very favorite feature, a detachable cable. The earphones themselves detach from the cable that comes with it, enabling you to replace a broken cable, upgrade to an iPhone cable (in the future) or a different colored cable, or even use the Kleer wireless system for amazing wireless audio.
I’m very excited about these earphones, and I’m confident that Sleek Audio wouldn’t put out anything less than awesome, so these should definitely deliver for the $79.99 you’ll pay for them in November.
