UK iPhone to launch with 1.1.2 Firmware: Good-Bye Jailbreak

by Indraneel Purohit on Nov 4, 2007 at 04:36 PM

iPhone New Firmware
Uh-oh.

T3, the UK tech/girls magazine, has its hands on the UK version of the iPhone, that is set to be released later this week.
Unfortunately, the mag has found that the device comes with the 1.1.2 firmware.  This offers a few new features, such as 12 language support and French & German keyboards.  Another “feature” is access to The Cloud Wi-Fi hotspots around Europe.

However, this breaks all of the current exploits that can jailbreak the iPhone.

When this firmware goes public, users beware; as you will not want to upgrade, at the risk of breaking your device.
