Everex recently announced the interesting sounding sub-$200 PC that is being sold in Wal-Mart. The PC is running the gOS, something that sounds intriguing and looks like it will be fun to check out. Of course the last thing I need is to add another computer in my house. What better way then to download the gOS and test it out with a Live

CD

, well actually DVD because the download is 728MB. The gOS is a modified version of Ubuntu 7.10 with OpenOffice 2.2, Skype, Firefox as well as links to various online Google apps.

What is the specs of this PC?

Although it is quite cheap in price, but I think we have the other great contender: Asus Eee PC which is laptop based, USD 299. Great mobility in a sleek design.
