Last time iLuv tried to throw an accessory in the iPod arena, it didn’t sell so well, so they went back to the drawing board. After some time, it looks like iLuv has finally got something worth taking a look at, they call it the Portable Video MP3 & DVD Player.
It starts off with a 8.4” wide-screen TFT LCD, a transparent screen protector, and a cool touch sensitive keypad control which produces light when using the controls. Additionally, inside the box comes carrying case, car adapter, AV cable for TV line-out, and a remote control. Unfortunately what might make this product unappealing is that it doesn’t work with the new iPod Touch, iPod Classic 80GB, iPod Classic 160GB, or new iPod video nano. However, no word on whether it works with the iPhone.
It is set to go on sale at Neiman Marcus for $275, and is expected to start shipping on October 15th. Let’s hope that this product isn’t a dud like the old z1055BLK.
