Gateway has added two new moderately priced notebooks in time for their holiday line-up, the P6301 and P6822. Both notebooks will come standard with a 17-inch widescreen display at 1440 x 900 pixel resolution, 1GB of memory, 8x Dual Layer DVD burner, 5-in-1 memory card reader and Windows Vista Home Premium.

The P6301 will also feature:

• Intel Pentium Dual Core Processor T2310
• 160GB 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive
• 3 USB 2.0 Ports
• 802.11g Wireless LAN
• Metal Razr Style Multimedia Buttons

The P6822 will also feature

• Intel Centrino Duo Mobile Technology
• 250GB 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive
• 3 USB 2.0 Ports and 1 VGA Connector
• Intel PRO/Wireless 3945 802.11a/b/g
• 1.3 Megapixel Webcam
• 1 HDMI V1.2 Connector

“Gateway’s holiday line-up is built to last and tackle the gamut of applications available today and tomorrow,” said John Schindler, Gateway senior director of consumer products

The P6301 will retail for $799, the P6822 will retail for $949 and both models will be available beginning October 14th.
