Freecom boasts the thinnest USB storage device

by Natesh Sood on Oct 8, 2007 at 12:19 AM

Freecom’s USBcard

Freecom has recently launched a new USB device, and what’s interesting about this one is that it is very thin. We have see many other credit card-like USB devices, yet Freecom claims that this is the thinnest.

The USB connection part of the card clicks into the card and you can push it out to connect to your computer. It can easily fit inside your wallet, without having to squeeze it in. Additionally, it comes with password protection and encryption software. Just in case someone steals your wallet, you might lose all your money and credit cards, but they won’t have access to your personal files.

The Freecom USBcard will sell in models ranging from a meager 256MB to a more than enough 4GB model. The 4GB is set to sell for 69,99 Euros or $98.

the Walletex Wallet Flash USB is much thinner, less than 3mm, and is on the market for 2 years now.

I bought one Wallet Flash card from Walletex I’m afraid that the external USB connector will break one day.

Other than that I’m very pleased with it! it looks great and it fits easily into your wallet.
