Clarion intos hot new GPS

by Natesh Sood on Oct 12, 2007 at 07:03 PM

Clarion MAX973HD

This new GPS by Clarion is probably one of the best around right now. It will probably cost a lot of money, but if you’re looking for a GPS that can do much more than provide you with directions, this is the one for you.

Dubbed the MAX973HD, it comes with a big 7-inch screen that can play movies and other stuff. The maps are provided by Navteq and it comes with live updates from a RDS-TMC receiver. It also comes with a 2D gyro sensor for when you are traveling through tunnels or if the signal is weak.

Additionally, it does voice recognition and text-to-speech, all in a few different languages. It can play DVD’s and is capable of recording to DVD±R, DVD±RW, CD-R/CD-RW, it can also play MP3 and WMA formats. Furthermore, it comes with Bluetooth support, a special iPod interface and a 30GB hard drive. Like mentioned before, it will probably cost a lot of money, but it doesn’t say yet, or where it’s supposed to be released.
