Alpine quietly intros Blackbird II

by Natesh Sood on Oct 2, 2007 at 04:01 AM

Alpine PMD-B200 Blackbird II

Alpine recently intro’d the PMD-B200 Blackbird II without even announcing it on their own website! How’s that for marketing? Even though it is not very popular yet, it still comes jam packed with goodies.

It begins with a 4 inch touchscreen at 480 x 272 pixels resolution, and boasts very good map coverage. It covers United States, Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands and Canada. It also features a very long list of POIs from gas stations to small museums and is sure to take you to whatever interesting place is in the area. Additionally, it can play music or videos through MP3 or WMA, via SD card.

NaviGadget says it has a 10GB hard drive, but there’s no mention of it on the website. In any case, you can add onto to its memory via SD card which offers support of up to 4GB. As of now, it costs 700 dollars, but its currently out of stock.
