by Natesh Sood on Sep 28, 2007 at 11:00 AM

Mio C720t

Mio recently launched their new type of GPS, the C720t, and as you can tell by the title, it has a built-in camera. However, this camera doesn’t just take pictures, but it can do a lot with the pictures.

For example, with its 2MP camera, you can embed GPS coordinates onto the picture, and navigate to it, just like if it were an address. Pretty neat, and it can recognize business cards and attach it to its contacts. Other notable features along with its camera is it can receiver live traffic updates, bluetooth hands free calling, and text-to-speech.

The live traffic updates are fro ClearChannel’s, and can be viewed on its split-screen. Additionally, it comes with 12 million POI which is a lot more than what other GPS’ offer and the C720t also lets you upload your photoPOI’s onto an SD card.

Other specs include:
  • 20-channel SiRFstar III GPS receiver
  • 2 GB flash memory, 64 MB RAM
  • 4.3″ TFT with Touch Screen and 65k Colors, WQVGA – 480 x 272 pixels
  • Built-in speaker and 2.5 mm headphone jack
  • Two-megapixel camera, digital zoom, 320 x 240 to 1600 x 1200, multi-shot, 5/10 second timer
  • SD/MMC Memory Expansion Module
  • 1300 mAH rechargeable Li-ion battery

The C720t is available in stores now and costs $600.
