Medion delivers biometric technology in GPS; sorry thieves

by Natesh Sood on Sep 25, 2007 at 11:05 PM

Medion GoPAl P445

Medion, a major European GPS manufacturer, recently announced the launch of the GoPAl P445. One of the more interesting features about this GPS, is that it has fingerprint scanning technology. This is to help keep access limited to only you.

Other than this new feature, it’s pretty much your average Joe GPS , it sports a 4.3 inch touch screen, supports Bluetooth with hands free calling and some voice recognition for certain voice commands, RDS-TMC antenna for live traffic updates, and an FM transmitter. The neat thing about the FM transmitter is that you can hear the voice telling you turn-by-turn directions from your car speakers. Additionally, it’s pretty thin too, measuring in at just 17mm.

Expect the GoPAl P445 to be available sometime in November in the UK, selling for 300 Euros, or 422 dollars. It may not be the cheapest GPS available, but if your in the UK, and are looking for added security to your GPS, this might be the one for you.
