Samsung Launches new Bluetooth MP3 players

YP-P2: Widescreen Portable Video

I have said before that I think that Samsung is fast becoming one of best looking brands on the market for cell phones, and now I am adding the MP3 market to that statement.

“Samsung Electronics is excited to unveil our next generation of MP3 players with Bluetooth that provides the ability to listen to your music with wireless headphones while also improving on the ability to take all your music, video, and photos with you anywhere.” said Reid Sullivan, vice president of Digital Audio & Video Marketing at Samsung Electronics America.

Available in September - but no price yet - both the YP-P2 and YP-T10 utilize the proprietary sound technology, Digital Natural Sound engine (DNSe) to ensure that ‘high end’ audio sounds great, and have been designed with form very much a factor in the equation. They are both slim, fit in your hand and are packed with features:

YP-P2: Widescreen Portable Video

  • Video, music, photos and voice recording
  • FM radio, text and file storage
  • 0.4 inches thick, 3 inch wide screen, 30 frames per second, 16:9 screen ratio
  • full screen GUI that responds to your finger

Combined with a bluetooth headset (their YA-BH270 gets suggested not surprisingly), up to three people can share the 4 or 8GB of music, over a 35 hour period, or can watch 5 hours of movies. Oh, and you can get it in black, white or burgundy as well.

YP-T10: Slim, Stylish, and Full of Functions
Slightly thinner (0.3 inches) and feather light (1.5 ounces) the T10 comes in three colors (black, purple and white) but only as a 4GB option. The screen is smaller at 2 inches, but again it supports bluetooth for wireless listening pleasure, albeit for a slightly reduced 30 hours and 4 hours respectively.
