Meet the ‘grown-up’ Sony Ericsson K770

“The K770 Cyber-shot phone is all about understated style. It’s a discreet, grown-up looking phone that slips neatly into your pocket or bag.”

I am not sure what S/E is going for with saying their phone is “grown-up”.  Do they mean I am immature in my desires for another phone?  Or it is only “grown-up looking” and is not full of immature features?  Whatever it is, the team at Sony Ericsson pumps out a rather nice, though basic, phone.

The K770 is very thin, measuring in at 14mm thick - or less than 9/16 of an inch.  The Sony Ericsson marketing team is keying in on the camera, a 3.2 megapixel shooter.  S/E says it’s nice enough for your photo album - brace your self for marketing speak - or your blog.  Yes, they bill this phone as yet another blogging phone.

The camera actually has some nice things going on.  For starters, it has an LED photo light (flash) and “active integrated” lens cover.  Then they move on to Photo Fix, an image editing app on the phone for PC-free editing.  Then they wrap it up with PictBridge (for more PC-Free adventures in printing).

Coming Q4 in select markets.  Oh and the color?  Meet “fashionable truffle brown”.  I’d just call it rusty and be done with it.

[Extra points if you can identify the body parts in order from left to right in the promo image.]
