Samsung has just announced their new ultra-compact L83T digital camera. A new addition the the L-Series line the L83T is both high performance and pocket sized. The L83T is an 8 megapixel camera with an internal 3x optical zoom, 2.5” LCD display and its just 3.67” x .71” x 2.27” with 19MB of internal memory with support for an external SD card up to 4GB.

The L83T has 14 scene modes to better enable you to get that perfect shot wherever you are. You can also revue, edit or customize your pictures directly on the camera with the 2.5” LCD display. With the “E” button you can resize or rotate your image, adjust brightness, contrast and saturation levels, fix red eye, adjust color and even save in black and white.

In addition to the pictures the L83T can also capture video with Samsung’s i-movie mode. The video will be MPEG-4 video at 800x592. With the advanced editing controls you can pause and resume filming without having to save individual clips and also take advantage of the camera’s optical zoom or use movie stabilizer to make up for camera movement and blur.
