Helio will not be charging for YouTube access

Helio LogoDespite recent rumors about Helio preparing to charge for YouTube access as part of their Video Virus service, it will now be free service. The plan was for a $5.99 monthly charge, which may low and affordable but would have been insulting to customers. With the recent release of the mobile version of YouTube and the hype of the iPhone app I think Helio would have taken a lot of slack for that fee. In addition to the YouTube access customers can also upload video directly from their phone.
