Apple replaces customers broken iPhone
Not a nice picture to see, a brand new still shiny iPhone with a cracked display. Todd Ficharker is an unlucky but lucky iPhone owner. He had his phone attached to a cable when he attempted to answer a call, the cable got caught and took the phone from his hand and sent it directly into the corner of his desk. I can just imagine the feeling that must have come over him. Instant sadness, but after bringing his phone into an Apple Store they replaced it for free.

I hope they replace mine. I just dropped it from about a foot or 2 off the ground and the corner of the screen cracked. It is definately a defect, but how can i prove it? Oddly, there are no scratches on the phone anywhere…just the crack on the screen. I guess it fell right on its face and maybee touched a pebble on the concrete and CRACK. I have had it 8 days and this is the first and onlt time it has touched the ground. im worried, but I am trying to stay positive. we will see tomorrow when I bring it to the at&t store.

Same thing happened to me. It fell from my patio table to the ground (roughly 3.5 feet) and cracked the glass. I took it to the Apple store where I was told the warranty doesn’t cover accidental damage and it would cost me $250 to have it fixed! That’s almost 1/2 of what I paid for the damn thing!
