Today Motorola launched the next generation MOTO Q 9 smartphone. The MOTO Q 9 is running Windows Mobile 6 and has a dual-processor (HSDPA/UMTS) engine that will allow broadband like speeds over the air. With speeds up to 3.6 Mbps you will be able to download your favorite music tracks in just about 6 seconds.

The MOTO Q 9 is a device of many talents and should be able to handle them all without any sacrifice. Messaging support includes email for up to 8 personal or business accounts including Hotmail, AOL, Yahoo! and Gmail as well as other email providers, IM, SMS and MMS are also supported. With all the messaging support Motorola also redesigned the keyboard to make it faster and more ergonomic to type.

Lots of power and speed will make this not only a good voice and messaging phone but also a nice multimedia phone as well. With 256 MB built in flash memory and support for up to 2 GB additional storage via a microSD card you will have plenty of room for both audio and video. With the Bluetooth stereo headset you will be able to listen or watch your media and switch to a call with the push of a button. Also included is a 2.0 megapixel camera that has a 8x digital zoom and will capture video at 15 frames per second.

With all these great features Motorola also made some convenience improvements as well, including light sensors on the front and back so the screen and keyboard light will adjust for better usability which will improve battery life. The MOTO Q 9 has 7 dedicated buttons that allow for one click access to the web, email, contacts, calendar, music/video content, camera and speakerphone.

The MOTO Q 9 is available starting this week in Italy and expected to launch in other areas in the next few months. It is currently available for pre-order though www.motorola.com.
