The typical SCUBA diver doesn’t use an Oxygen tank, it’s a tank filled with pure, dry, filtered, compressed air. Breathing pure oxygen at depth will cause central nervous system oxygen toxicity which in itself is not fatal but can cause you to spit out your regulator and drown during a convulsion.
