Kodak at CES: Wireless digital frames, digital cameras and facial search tech

by PJ Hruschak on Jan 8, 2007 at 05:49 PM

kodak_logo.jpgEastman Kodak has a few new products as well as a few oldies to show off at CES 2007.

For a little something new, they have wireless Easyshare Digital Picture Frames. Available in 8 in. and 10 in., (7 in. and 8 in. for non-WiFi versions), they have interchangeable faceplates and a remote control. They also have two new digital cameras, the Kodak Easyshare V1003 and V703, that feature 3x optical zoom and 10- and 8-megapixel resolution, respectively. Finally, they are demonstrating a new Facial Search app that will help to search for images buried deep in your PC’s file system. More coming on all three of these.

kodak_picture_kiosk.jpgAs for something old, Kodak is showing off:

  • The Picture Kiosk family of self-service print kiosks (currently available in more than 85,000 worldwide retail locations) including Bluetooth-enabled models that allow you to print images from camera phones as well as digital cameras (oh, THAT won’t be hackable at all)
  • Easyshare cameras, including the C653 Zoom Digital Camera
  • Easyshare Photo Printer PP350 with Bluetooth
