Bill Gates on The Daily Show: Stay away from the F12 key

Does anyone see the significance of Stewart asking Gates about the f12 button? I may be incorrect, but I think Stewart was making reference to the f12 button on a mac, which open up ‘widgets,’ one of the many features that are used in describing OSX as being more accessible to average computer users. Is Jon Stewart on a mac?
