Nintendo Wii launches, enough Wii for everyone

by Doug Berger on Nov 20, 2006 at 03:12 PM

Nintendo Wii launch party

The launch party that we reported on a few weeks ago was a great success.  Nintendo finally taught Microsoft and Sony how to do a product launch without the unnecessary shortage of units.  There were over 1,000 people waiting in line at the Toys R Us New York launch, and that didn’t even put a dent in their supposed inventory of 5,000.  Yes, you heard me right, 5,000 units.  Where do you even put 5,000 units?  Each person in line was given a white Wii bracelet meaning they will be receiving a unit.

According to Gizmodo, the first guy in line goes by Triforce - and he has been camped out for 9 DAYS!  Now that’s a true fanboy.  Once in, Triforce was given the opportunity to talk with Reggie Fils-Aime, President of Nintendo of America, about his experiences and such.  He also got Reggie to sign his Wii box - which I can’t imagine is worth anything.  That’s a shame.  So it looks like the night ended with success - success of course meaning there were no drive-by-shootings like in the PS3 lines.

    Dear readers,
I hope you, your family, and relatives are all in a good health, and I hope will overcome this hard time and Nintendo will be the only winner.
Beloved, though there are no relevant sourc of imformation , but I guess it would be a good programming pratise to keep following up with the material that we took in the first 2 weeks, so that when we are back to class we will not put much effort to remember what was there! .. Thus, I will try to keep you updated with some homework assignments; and I kindly ask you to solve it and send the solution back to me and Olmert. Maybe Sanchez will also send you some programming assignments, please do solve them.

Please let me know if anyone has a problem in following up with me. Below is the first assignment.
