No more excuses not to cook with StirChef saucepan stirrer
I love cooking. But there are few things I hate to do for what I love doing. Peeling onions is one. I normally get my wife to shed some tears for me trying to get me through these ‘sad’ moments. Apart from that, standing next to the hot sauce pan stirring the gravy is another. The victim for this one depends on who else is available. More often than not it would be my son who also loves cooking so he doesn’t complain much and as a fringe benefit helping out in the kitchen he gets to taste the menu well ahead of others.
But that is going to be over soon for him if I can get hold of StirChef hands free sauce pan stirrer. I bet whoever came up with this great idea was in the same shoes I am in.
Operated by four long-lasting AA batteries, this gadget has a paddle that rotates 10 to 12 times per minute with impressive torque. Imagine cooking sauces, soups, stews, puddings, custards, gravy without being tied to the hot stove, freeing you to do other more delicious tasks.
The designer even thought of intermittent setting (12 seconds on and 12 seconds off) for stirring some cooking that requires less stirring, which almost doubles the battery life.
I wish there is a robotic commis chef I can hire out there that can offer my wife a shoulder to cry on when peeling onions.
