Panasonic gets wide with the DMC-LX2 camera

by Adam Berger on Jul 19, 2006 at 10:00 AM

Panasonic DMC-LX2

Looking for the right camera that will allow you to showcase your photography-or lack of photographic skills-on your new 50” plasma? Panasonic today introduced the Lumix DMC-LX2 (successor to the DMC-LX1). The model will have a 4x optical zoom, 10.2 megapixel widescreen CCD, and a 28 mm wide angle Leica DC lens, delivering the perfect 16:9 ratio for your other widescreen. The 2.8” LCD screen is also wide, allowing you to see exactly how the image will look.  Whether you are using a tri-pod or purposely shaking the camera (like I did in the pictures below), the MEGA O.I.S—image stabilizer—keeps your pictures in focus. Finally, this camera is not just for beginners, it has a maximum ISO of 1600 at full resolution and offers manual focus from a joystick.

The DMC-LX2 will have a battery life for 300 pictures, an MSRP of $499.95, and will be available in September.

Obviously not my picture, just some nice fashion shots of the cameras.
